Financial Durable Power of Attorney

A financial durable power of attorney gives someone you trust the ability to make financial decisions for you should you not be able to make those decisions for yourself. If you do not have a financial durable power of attorney, and you become incapacitated, your relatives will have to ask a judge to name someone to make those decisions.
